Board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon Eric Lescault, D.O., was recently one of only 667 physicians worldwide inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy or Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
Dr. Lescault received his medical degree from the University of New England College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME, and he completed his residency at Memorial Hospital in York, PA. Dr. Lescault then went on to complete his interhsip at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
After serving seven years on active duty with the United States Army, with deployments to Korea, Bosnia, and Iraq, Dr. Lescault joined Orthopaedic Specialists. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, Amercian Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, North Carolina Medical Society, Brunswick County Medical Society, and the Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons.
He has special interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques, such as direct anterior total hip arthroplasty and hip resurfacing. Dr. Lescault is also highly skilled in advanced arthroscopic and open techniques of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. He is on medical staff at Brunswick Community Hospital and Dosher Memorial Hospital.
His special interests include fly fishing and wood carving.
